I really am not sure how to rate this one. It's nice to read a YA book where the guy and girl don't actually get together in the end. But the characters are still ultimately douchebags. And one of the characters basically says, "it's okay that everyone is a douchebag because that's just they way they are." The first 2/3 of the book were dull but I really enjoyed the roadtrip part, especially since I've undergone several myself and will be taking one again in August/September. Four stars is too high a rating but three stars is too low. 3.5/5.
